Description is important to the current paper topic because
it is a compare and contrast piece. If you end up describing two fantastic
teachers or two awful teachers, you’ll need to describe each one in detail;
their teaching styles, their faults, and their strengths. The attention to
detail is really important in this paper.
Definition for this paper will be a bit more broad, as each
person is comparing & contrasting based on THEIR ideas of what makes a
great teacher. It is important that we explain our reasoning in depth and give
specific examples as to why we chose our argument. If you simply state that the
two are the same or different, you are missing the point of the assignment.
The process is explaining how something works. In this case,
it’s explaining why the teachers are great, not so great, or just indifferent.
The point of this paper is to explain the similarities and differences between
the two teachers of our choice, and to argue our point. If we focus on
description, definition, and remember that it is a process essay, we will do
just fine.
